About My Work

Working with both earthenware and porcelain, I use my own customised recipe for paperclay. I create flat bats of plaster of paris and carve words and drawings directly on to the surface, the clay then picks up every intricate detail before it is then used in a variety of applications.
Coloured work is fired several times using translucent glazes and undercolours before being decorated with precious gold and platinum lustres .
White pieces are glazed crystal clear for a brilliant shine and sparkle.
Although my work seems very delicate, the high firing makes pieces deceptively strong and able to withstand being handled, packaged or used in a domestic setting.
