Bisque White

The pieces fired at 950C and come out of the kiln pure white and very very chalky. The porcelain is still very brittle. If you imagine the consistency of Edinburgh Rock, you are pretty much there!
I coat the insides of the vessels with a clear stoneware, food safe glaze and work with powdered cobalt oxide to bring out some of the patterns.
Kiln is currently packed and on, here's hoping the I see the precariously placed cone when the time comes!
